Y'know... In the Pokemon TV episodes, Season 1 Episode 22, when Ash faces off Psychic gym leader Sabrina, her Abra actually does open its eyes and they actually are that same glowing red color XD ... It was pretty freaking awesome. X3

Haha, it really was weird~ But, hey, I'm a sucker for any episodes containing any from my favorite evo lines XD (which are, ironically, most of those in creepypasta - the Abra evo line, Gastly evo line, Hypno, etc XD)
